2024 Candidate Forums -
It is time for our 2024 Candidate Forums to get underway. Five Forums will be held in early to mid-September. They are for Minnesota Senate District 45, Eden Prairie School Board, Hennepin County Commissioner District 6, State Representative Districts 48A and 49B, and Eden Prairie City Council.
The Forums are scheduled as shown below:
Minnesota Senate District 45
The Forum will be held on Tuesday, September 3rd at 7:00 – 8:00 PM at Minnetonka City Hall located at 14600 Minnetonka Blvd, Minnetonka, MN 55345. This Forum is co-hosted by the League of Women Voters Wayzata-Plymouth.
Eden Prairie School Board
The Candidate Forum will be held on Thursday, September 5th at 7:00 – 8:00 PM at the Eden Prairie City Hall located at 8080 Mitchell Road, Eden Prairie, MN 55344.
Hennepin County Commissioner District 6
This Forum will be held on Wednesday, September 11th, at 7:00- 8:00 PM at the Minnetonka City Hall located at 14600 Minnetonka Blvd, Minnetonka, MN 55345. This Forum is co-hosted by the League of Women Voters Edina.
State Representative District 49A and 49B
Eden Prairie City Hall, 8080 Mitchell Road, Eden Prairie, MN 55344, will host this Forum on Thursday, September 12thfrom 6:30 to 7:45 PM.
Eden Prairie City Council
This Forum will be held on Thursday, September 12th from 8:00 to 9:15 PM at Eden Prairie City Hall, located at 8080 Mitchell Road, Eden Prairie, MN 55344.
Submit Questions in Advance or at the Events
Voters attending the Forums have two opportunities to submit questions to the candidates. Written questions will be accepted from audience members during the Forum and/or can be submitted via the LWV MEPH website's Contact page: https://www.lwvmeph.org/contact-us.html Questions should be applicable to all candidates, be forward looking, not personal in nature, and address subjects relative to the office being sought. By League of Women policy, the identity of the person asking the question is confidential and no identifying information will be collected.
The League of Women Voters Minnetonka-Eden Prairie-Hopkins, Edina and Wayzata-Plymouth are all nonpartisan 501(C)3 political organizations. LWVs encourage informed and active participation of citizens in government and influence public policy through education and advocacy. Membership is open to all citizens.
